We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to start or continue their career in procurement and asset management. Our Tooling & Fixtures Coordinator reviews and orders tooling and fixtures for new product launches; orders replacement tooling; reviews customer drawings and determines if new revisions effect current tooling or fixtures. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains the tooling and fixtures database.
  • Requests quotes from tooling suppliers.
  • Completes Bi-Weekly customer tooling reports.
  • Reviews Phase 1 launches.
  • Coordinates shipments of tooling and fixtures.
  • Sets up invoicing documentation for customer owned tooling.
  • Collaborates with the estimation team on tooling capabilities.
  • Assists production departments with minor tooling needs.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • Must be self-motivated, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and execute work activities.
  • Intermediate Computer skills required. Should be able to use Excel, and Access.
  • Ability to make decisions to maintain production levels and product quality, with a sense of urgency and a bias towards action and follow-through.
  • Must be able to work with diverse workforce.
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Education and Experience Required

  • Must be able to use pivot tables, and formulas in excel.
  • Must be able to make changes in Microsoft Access.
  • Two years background in manufacturing.
  • Basic blueprint reading.
  • Solidworks experience is a plus.
  • Process engineering background is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

This job position may require on a varied frequency rate:

  • Standing, walking for extended periods throughout shift.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Sitting while working in front of a computer console.
